About

This is a blog designed for my students to follow what I am doing for the next year. It will be a place where you can find pictures of different countries around the world, hear stories about what I am doing, and hopefully learn something! There will be a lot of challenges that I will face that I would like to share with you. I hope to show you that a lot of the skills that we learn in class need to be used in the real world - no matter what country you are in.

This is also a blog designed for teachers. I hope to include my thoughts on real world situations that you can use with your students. There will be small activities in math, writing, financial literacy, and probably more. It might be useful to use as short warmups or prompts for conversation. The posts will vary in topi and in appropriate age level, though they will all be aimed at elementary students.

A little bit more about Ms Hoffman:
1. She is an ESL teacher, mostly working with refugee students.
2. She is very passionate about traveling and the things that you learn from doing so.
3. She believes strongly about the importance of Economic education and Personal Financial Literacy for students.
